Finder is able to make a copy and not remove the folder you copy by simple drag & drop or using CMD+C to copy the original folder and CMD+V on the external HDD.
Or do you want something different?
You also could use CarbonCopyCloner (http://www.bombich.com) or SuperDuper (http://www.shirt-pocket.com/superduper/superduperdescription.html) to make a 1:1 copy of folders, the source will not be deleted.

I had an Otterbox defender and loved it too. Unfortunately, after about a week it started creaking and moving around under the silicon (i.e. the two halves of the case would move in relation to each other).
Otterbox were fantastic and replaced it for me FOC (they just shipped one from the USA to the UK completely FOC and didn't ask for the old one back)
However, after a couple of months, the replacement started doing exactly the same and I ended up having to tape it together under the silicon to hold it together.
Basically, I think what happened is that the clips stopped holding the case together tightly over time (I'd taken it out a few times), and for that reason I'd definitely recommend keeping it in the case 24/7 otherwise you could end up with the same problem I had

I think the hues on the old minis varied a little, too. My niece has a pink iPod mini that is noticably more violet than some of the pink ones I've seen on display.

Just came across this thread. I was going to go to the launch, though not to buy one. I was there on opening day of the store, waited 2 hours to get and I'm actually wearing my free T-shirt now. I love the store in Eldon Square, it was a long time coming for a store in Newcastle, and recently a 2nd one has opened in the Metro Centre but I hate that place so do my apple shopping at ES.
Good pictures.

What do you mean put it back to sleep? When I get the black screen I can't see anything on my screen and closing the MBA and opening it again a min or two later doesn't do anything at all. The only fix is a hard reset for me by holding the power button for like 2 minutes.
If I shine a bright light on the screen, I can see what is going on. Actually, I just know that pressing the power button and then the 'S' button puts a Mac to sleep. I then just let it sit for like 20 seconds, hit the space bar and it woke with the screen lit up.
I don't know that this method works every time. Sometimes I need to reboot the Mac. You do that buy hitting the power button and then the 'R' button.

I think we're making progress. What are the PC specs? How are the files being delivered? Can you try compressing a little more aggressively (the HD file info shows its 5 times the bitrate of the SD movies)? Do they have to be HD when delivered?
I also suggested this when they first reported the issue. They said they had also tried the files on a "brand new computer" (whatever specs that is). Mind you, my macbook pro is 4,5 years old and plays these files just fine !!
But, thanks for the suggestions, I have now re-compressed more aggresively and at smaller resolution; I haven't heard from them yet, but hopefully it will work...

Funny in the beginning but it got old. With advertising you don't want to keep replaying the same old same old. People start tuning out.
They were good, but it was time to discontinue them.
Exactly.
At the beginning, the ads were smug.
After 6 months, they were smug and starting to get old. The series was no longer fresh.
That's when Apple and their marketing group decided to run the ads for another few years, until everyone, even people like my parents who don't care about computers, disliked the ads.

and what about documents that are no longer there at all? Not!
If I remember correctly Time Machine will only do its trick correctly when you have a nice big external drive where it can store its backupdata, if not Time Machine will allso not be able to recover deleted files ;-) but I guess people forgot to notice that detail ;-)
Time Machine is backup software with a fancy search engine attached to it, no backup no Time Machine...
but I like the iTardis concept... one question, doe it include your own personal real life version of Rose Tyler???? I would like that ;-)) please do :D *drooling*
beware of the Daleks, you can recognise them, they have "designed for Windows" stickers on them... and when viewing a mac on the network they all switch to a blue screen wich says EXTERMINATE ;-)

DDC is a derivative of I2C and Macs have a I2C bus. The motion sensor is connected to the I2C bus, for example.

If you buy a refurb after the time they announce Lion's release, then yes you should get a OS X 10.7 Lion upgrade disc included.

Holding the ds sideways? That's an interesting idea. I hope it won't be one large screen on both, though. That's crummy with the gap. (ie, sonic ds.) The sonic/mario game sounds interesting. I'm betting Sonic wins the races, and Mario wins the high jumps. :)

Also, the FCC could argue that what Steve did today was not really a test. Once your product is done being tested it has to receive FCC clearance. Or else anybody could go out and make walkie talkies or their own cell phone or other wireless devices.People: cell phone manufacturers can test their phones. In public. They can show them to other people, make calls, etc.
They just can't sell them.
Nothing illegal about anything we saw today. Period.

Hi,
I never knew you could aggregate the soundcards thanks!
I just setup traktor.
I have the following setup
Cheap usb soundcard which is connected to my speakers.
Headphones coming out of my imac's built in output.

The follwing setup enables me to cue tracks through the headphones(built in output) and have the main output from my speakers(usb soundcard)
