I can't wait for it to get smaller and recognize speech. It would stop a lot of arguments over whats true in my family.
Sign me up for one once one comes out. Who knows, I might be right in a argument with the missus for once.

If you have wimpy fingers, no case will help.
Apple case helps with original iPad due to the extra grip. I can hold the iPad with 1 hand comfortably.
I don't use iPad 2 with a case although I might get something that protects the back.

I'll be there at around 5ish. I certainly don't want to miss all the fun, even though Purolator should theorically deliver a copy to the office today.

ok thanks. i have been to a music store actually, the guitar still had its original strings and whatever i tried it sounded strange. they got me the right strings (before it actually had three metal and three plastic ones) and got a friend to restring it since he has done it loads of times and does it pretty dam well.
@jessica, how do you play 6th string then? i guess if its your thumb but that only allows one fret at a time.
You don't use your thumb to play any strings (usually). The reason your neck is so big is that classical guitars are meant to played with precise technique. In theory, your thumb should never leave the middle of the back of the neck, which would allow plenty of "stretch" for your fingers. However, many people play with their thumb wrapped nearly all the way around the neck (sometimes using it to add a low E string note).
Unless you're going to learn classical guitar, which almost an entirely different way of playing, you should pick up a cheap acoustic. I would recommend learning on an acoustic rather than electric. It will be more difficult to play at first, but you'll play better for it. If after a year, you feel comfortable playing on the acoustic, buy an electric.

2 megs is a lot, but in the age where broadband internet is more accessable and cheaper than it used to be, you can push file sizes a bit especially if your target audience is known to have broadband and flash and even a processor fast enough to display flash at its intended speed.
when you are saving jpgs how are you doing it? save for web from photoshop works great for optimizing your file sizes. also if you imported an image and it started off as 1000x500 and you scaled it down in flash and you will never scale it back up, resize it in photoshop and then re import it at the size it actually belongs.
and as the poster above pointed out, external swfs, jpes and even text if you want to get crazy can be loaded on a need basis.

And the bad quality ever since they started packing iPod's with the "slim" version. I like my Sister's cable better, her's has the buttons on the side with the better quality... :(

The daily mail also have a video of him leaving a shop, looking "frail and unsure on his feet"

I must point out to all the non Brits here, the Daily mail is quite possibly the worst paper in this country. They're xeno and homophobic and often print outright lies.
Video already being discussed here (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1100220)

Just got here.
There is about 20 people. A lot of them look like they're in groups, though, so its hard to tell if 20 people = 20+ iPads already called for.

I was wondering what application do you use to make a picture like this...http://homepage.mac.com/time_pilot/network.png. I have a feeling it is Inspiration but I do not have any Mac pictures in it. Could someone possibly give me a link to where you can download these pictures and hopefully guide me through how to put them in it.
Thanks in advanced,

Hi all,
I have an old B/O Beogram 5000 turntable. I purchased and connected a ROLLS phono preamp to connect to output from tt. Apple store sold me an iCable to plug in to mic receptacle:confused:. Using garage band, I tried recording and got nothing. Does anyone have experience with this setup and can please provide specific hookup steps so my lps can be heard again via iTunes? Thanks.

I just realized that the titles of my top 28 iTunes songs strung together, ordered by their playcount, results in kind of an interesting semi-comprehensible "poem". (I did have to add some punctuation marks)
Does this make sense to anybody else? :D

Depends on your situation - common wisdom is that a tripod can only have 2 of the following characteristics: sturdy, light, cheap.
Maybe you want to take a look here: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=847990
Hope that helps.

Am I the only person who liked the fat nano?
nope i knew a ton of people that had it and loved it.
And I'd rather get a long touchscreen (2.5 inches?) for the next gen. Sort of like if you would put 2 6th gen nanos together side by side.

Before I download the Lightroom trial I have a quick question.
In Aperture 3 they let you brush in and away certain adjustments, like dodge, burn, vibrancy, etc. However, they do not let you brush in/away the exposure adjustment. Does lightroom facilitate this?
Thanks

Are there any disadvantages of buying iMacs (or anything) from these third party sellers compared to buying it directly from Apple (store or online)? For e.g., does it still come with the 1 year AppleCare/warranty?
Also, I see tax in my bill at Macconnection. No no tax?
Depends on your state.

Thanks a lot guys.
I got it working.
The hardest part was subclassing UIView and instantiating it when I need it.
I'm getting the hang of iOS and O-C. Not too bad at all after a month of studying.

The desktop space is a small issue, solvable, but not pretty...
So, no one thinks the additional 150ish pixels of height is worth it, then?? (for the 23")
No question that for landscape oriented photos, the dual is great. (Assuming I do not have to 50%-50% the screens photo/tools. It's the height in portrait photos that drives me nuts on my current iMac17"...
Another question: Can I arrange on or two web pages on one monitor and have new pages open full screen on the other?
(Awesome thoughts on this subject so far!)

The mbox mini has no midi in/out, so if you do get that one, the keyboard will have to go directly to the computer through USB. There's not really any reason this wouldn't work in pro tools, I've done the same thing but with a different program.
