I am trying to understand what Flash Cookies are ?
I know what normal cookies do, but Flash cookies are a little different....
I have heard that Flash Cookies cannot be deleted or are very hard to delete ?
Can anyone explain what Flash cookies are and can do ?!
Thanks!

Chrono Cross is one of only four games ever to get a perfect 10.0 rating from Gamespot.com (the other three were Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and Soul Calibur).
Which always prompted me to wonder "what were they smoking"? Chrono Cross started off with such promise, then the bottom just dropped completely out. It truly felt like they'd been 3/4 through a stand-alone game, then decided to tack on the Chrono tie-in. I particularly liked the shoehorned exposition at the very very end: "Oh BTW, Lynx was actually your dad, now go beat the last boss!!!" Or the "Kid is actually a clone of Schala - but we cleverly disguised this by having neither of them actually look like the real Schala & her purple hair!"
I think Gamespot rated the game the way I felt - play about 1/4 and think "there are great things in motion; the payoff will be spectacular!" But I never felt it lived up to its potential. Certainly not in the end-to-end fulfilment sense of OoT. Just my opinion.
Anyone remember crystalis? I playin that right now
Crystalis was like one of the greatest NES games ever. It's like Zelda - but cooler - and with a plot! GAMES THAT NEED A SEQUEL! And a VC release!

you're not being clear at all.
what are you trying to do exactly? take possession of the white iPhone so your wife can have the black one? but you're trying to keep all your messages and stuff right?
What I am trying to do is replace my wife's black iPhone4 with a new white one. She would like to be able to keep her text message threads that reside on the black phone.

Maybe not, if he hung on to the wheel and had a seat-belt on.
The passengers dumped onto the right side windows would not have been so lucky.
Seat belts save lives. On all airplanes, why not on busses. They have them on buses here. And I was thinking RHD...

I'm going to be placing an order for a PowerMac next week and the only thing I need to decide on is the graphics card. I did some searching on here and found comparisons with the XP v an 6800 Ultra, but none with the XT v a 6800 GT.
On the PC side, i know OpenGL is nVIdia's bread and butter, while DirectX is ATI's. Since we are dealing with Macs here, there is no such thing as DirectX for Macs so that aspect is thrown out.
I've looked at the benchmarks from barefeats.com and spec wise, the X850XT has the 6800GT beat by quite a margin. The actual real world tests reflect that advantage. So +1 for the XT.
I'm looking for others opinions on this. It seems the XT wins hands down. What do you think?

I had this same problem, never figured it out. My mix cd (that i created) would play fine in iTunes, but once you copy it in, it splits up the tracks. IF you leave the crossfade on, it fades out the end of each song in the mix. If you turn off the x-fade, you get a pause....

Is backing up any different than syncing?
Pardon my ignorance - I went from an ipod nano 4th generation household to a 2 iPod touches - 1 iPad 2 - 2 iPhone 4 - 1 macbook pro 2011 13.3 in 4 months...
The iPod touch IS a gateway drug.
No need to pardon your ignorance....
I think it is different but maybe I'm wrong. To be safe do this:
-Fire up iTunes and plug in her black phone.
-Right-click on it and click on "backup".
-Let it do it's thing and when it's done disconnect it.
-Plug in the new white phone and when you're setting it up select the option to restore from a previous backup (its worded something like that).

Hi, I installed a 160 GB GEN2 Intel X-25M SSD in my MBP and was surprised to see in "About This Mac" that TRIM is indicated as "NO." The drive comes from a serial number set that should have the latest firmware. Am I missing something? I thought these were all featured TRIM...
The drive supports TRIM, but OS X 10.6.x does not support TRIM on non-Apple SSDs.

After a week's decline, it's up this morning.
I don't know if Wall Street regards this as major. Last week, I think, was just some profit-taking after the recent runup from about $45.

I like Lion on the whole too, but to say that there's nothing in 10.6 that you can't do in Lion is patently untrue. Just look at Spaces. In 10.6, you could move between spaces in a grid quickly and easily. In Lion, you can't do that and you can't change it back.
The fact is, there are some features that they did just remove. Most of which were done for the sake of making things "simpler" for new users, which is where I think a lot of people get the term "dumbing down".
Exactly. I hate when people take apart comments sentence by sentence with the same arguments then complain about your supposed complaining. Oh the irony
Most of these are new to Mac's, brought in by the iDevice craze and have no sense of what Apple and OS X used to provide.
Launchpad is a feature that equates to the iPad iOS, something that Apple has CLEARLY stated (simply another way to access applications based on iOS but not a convenient method for desktops as you have to select an icon one at a time into subcategories that don't make access easier but only adds extra steps). This is a feature that has been implemented for the average Joe-sumer. Apple has dropped major OS X developed into improving HFS+, little 64-bit architecture support for Proapps, lack of Blu-Ray support makes my job with OS X more difficult, no R.I. development, no mid-tower between the top iMac and entry level Mac Pro, spaces went from a useful 3D grid to the iOS 2D format which makes utilizing a system for projector based presentations more difficult (the grid made placing and accessing customized app placement easier for corp presentations), etc.
Professionals such as myself who have been around since the 90's and well before the iOS crowd have had these discussions with newbies for the past three years, and it doesn't resolve into anything other than hard headed new comers getting defensive and obstinate about what they know not. I take no issue with iDevices, I love my iPhone and iPad, however do not mux them with OS X. They should work well together but not be one and the same. In the past few years Apple has dropped focus on prosumers and as such a lot of us have and are leaving to use Avid and Premiere Pro and Lightroom on Windows or other platforms as we cannot afford to invest thousands of dollars in systems when there is evidence that Apple will drop us altogether,
