As it states in the title, $245, it's brand new, has the latest software updates, and has free priority mail shipping in the US. I have it on ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/iPod-Touch-8gb-NIB-iTouch-This-auction-has-character_W0QQitemZ130234664194QQihZ003QQcategoryZ94930QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) as well. PM me with questions. I take paypal. Insurance is an extra $2.

Yeah, I was thinking of going to the Mall. The guy in the Carphone Warehouse there told me they would get many more IPhones than the O2 store in the Mall, but he would say that!
Seeing as the Mall normally opens quite late (10am) in the day, do you think either of these stores will even be able to open early in the morning for the special launch?
I'm thinking the stores in Bristol centre might be a safer bet...

Flarestorm (http://linkage.white-void.net/files/macosx/), the oh-so-very-nearly-finished PSX emulator has gone open source, with SDK and sources available at the given link. If anyone proficient in Japanese would care to translate when this actually happened, you're free to do so ;)
Now, to build the thing - the source is 6 months newer than the binary last available...

I'm glad that it's available again for Mac OS X. It looks as if it might be a wait for the developer and foundation versions, though.
With all the mess on Windows, there may be more dedicated Borland developers trying Mac OS X.

I've been trying to do use several shortcuts with the "fat" arrowkeys but I don't have a "fat" arrowkey on my keyboard. Does it mean something else or am I just slow?

I looked at the contentsOfDirectoryAtPath:error: method and Apple states "An array of NSString objects identifying the directories and files (including symbolic links) contained in path." So my question is, will the IKImageBrowserView use this string and display the image? If not what is the solution to this problem?
Thanks
I've no idea. What does the IKImageBrowserView documentation say it needs?

When forum members are banned from the site for a period of 1-30 days, occasionally longer, they receive a timeout title on their profile for everyone to see. Some consideration could and in my view, should be given to ending this practice because:
1. It's been clearly shown to provide amusement and gossip even public gloating to others who take pleasure seeing it imposed on others.
2. It stands in direct contradiction of this sentiment:
Forum discipline is handled privately.
3. Because the offending action which places people in timeout is almost always removed, it therefore serves little purpose in making examples of forum members and in reminding others how to follow forum rules.
The only useful indication that comes to mind from making this status public is the inability to receive and send PMs to those in timeout, but those who might miss their friends would presumably have other way of staying in touch, especially with the proliferation of channels and other forms of networking.
Questioning some assumptions, is this a big problem? No, but it's worth thinking over. Would its removal be an entirely bad thing? I don't think so... it may even prevent the buildup of resentment on the part of those who may have something to offer down the line.

Apple almost doubled their units sold and markershare drop. Profits are up so I'm guessing it's not a big deal for Apple.

Awesome Note is great.
Awesome Note is not bad: beautiful, powerful and with alarm notifications.
But I recommend Things. Because it is more intuitive and more easy-to-use!

Everything you're saying makes zero sense and does not accomplish what I'm looking to do.
OK, I'll try to make it simpler, so you can understand.

That's not true. An alias is just a shortcut, pointing to a location. If you use that method, there will only be one copy of the pic.
If you have a folder and you create an alias, anything you drag to the alias will actually be placed in the folder, as illustrated by the arrows labeled "2" in the screen capture above. You will not have one copy of a pic in the folder and another copy in the alias. An alias cannot contain pics or any files. It simply points to an existing file or folder.
You never have to go to the Photo Booth folder. As I said, you can drag the pics directly from the Photo Booth app to whatever folder you want, or to your Mail icon, to email it. You don't need to touch Finder at all, if you don't want to.
As you can see by the arrow labeled "1" in the screen capture above, you can drag pictures directly from Photo Booth into any folder you choose. You can also drag a picture to the Mail icon on your Dock to attach that picture to an email. You can also click on a picture in Photo Booth and press the "delete" key to delete the picture, so nothing is saved in the Photo Booth folder.
Also the fact they would make software that you cannot change the save location is the utmost stupidest thing I've ever heard of in my life and this is the only software or application in which you can't.
Actually, it's not. Address Book and iCal don't give you the option to change the location of their associated files, and they're not the only ones. It's not uncommon for an app to not provide a method for changing default locations of associated files.

Boxcar was just updated to allow for instant push tweets as well (instead of a 2-min pulling period). I think I'm going to keep using Boxcar because it allows for custom notification sounds when the tweets come in. For example, I like to hear a little "tweet, tweet!" when I get a message vs. the default "tri-tone" sound that the Twitter app offers.
3rd party notification apps will survive because people want features like this.

Not exactly but several friends/family members have spent amounts totalling hundreds or thousands of pounds on Apple computers based on my experiences and recommendations.
They all still talk to me so I can`t have steered them too far wrong.
Just waiting for my commission from Apple ;)

Just an update. I think I'll be at West County Saturday (yes, the day after Leopard is released) but then my parents will be with me and they said that for my Christmas present they're going to buy a Mac mini. Come on, Apple! Don't kill it yet!

Looks like I have another place spot to visit when i go to Australia.
I didn't know Apple store is a tourist attraction. though I must admit I went to check out the Apple Store when I went down to Sydney last year http://images.macrumors.com/vb/images/smilies/biggrin.gif hehe...
i recommend parking at the convention centre and walking through southbank. cheaper than CBD parking and less hassle!
...or you could just catch the bus.
