Check out the inventory tracker in MR iPad forum for Best Buy, Target, etc.
I placed my order online at the Apple Store and have been waiting patiently for a April 20 delivery. Yesterday I checked the inventory tracker and it turned out my local Best Buy had stock on the 16GB WiFi black, just as I ordered it from Apple. Literally 15 minutes later I was up and running with my new gear & cancelled my Apple store order. No waiting in line or wasting any more time with the whole process. Why wait if you can grab it locally?

Well, I suppose this highlights the issue of recycling electronics.....
By the way, does anybody else think a square container for a spinning blender blade is just poor design? :p

my question was, why would anyone think that Apple would remove In/Out? Seriously thats a common tool in any Linear based application.
I didnt see any options on outputting to iTunes, maybe they got rid of that too...that was sarcasm.
Ah, my bad. This irrational fear of FCPX and the unknown has led to some crazy rants around here recently.

Those people who have tattoos all over their body, like enigma, the cat guy, the leopard guy and the lizard guy are insane. They are fully disfiguring their bodies. They think they are animals, except for enigma who thinks it is "art", which IMO is less crazy but still incredibly weird. His puzzle pieces are all different colors and are all patchy.
life is a work in progress, so is your body. tattoos and piercings are art to me, and self improvement.

so if you computer crashes you left with nothing.. again why they should discount this.
No - Your Steam games can be downloaded whenever you like to whatever computer you are using.
So, if your Mac crashes and you wipe the HDD, you reinstall Steam and re-download for free.
Or, if you migrate to a Windows box, reinstall Steam and re-download for free.
Buy once, play anywhere.

This finding just goes to prove that there are people with way too much time on their hand.
Really now, the person using the Nike+iPod has to be within 60 feet from the person who's doing the tracking? At that range, the person doing the tracking is better off following the Nike+iPod user home!

Why don't you atheists and non-Christian followers grow a pair already? You want us to respect the fact that you walk the Earth, too, and don't share our religious beliefs, so how about you do the same, ok?
Isn't it funny how Christians consistently seem to think respecting 'the fact that you walk the Earth, too' means forcing retailers to celebrate their holiday? Meanwhile, Kwanzaa is respectfully declared to be 'made-up' while the birth and resurrection of Jesus are declared indisputable historical facts.
Quite a few of the founding fathers were not Christian, by the way. Notably Thomas Jefferson.
Sorry to divert the thread, but the little baby's Christian rant caught my eye.

So you could theoretically build and conceal tracking stations all over the place and thus monitor these short-range transmissions. Wouldn't it be simpler just to hide cameras all over?

It's a great inovative concept. One that could actually be popular and work.
Don't know.. I know some mobile phones that have a keypad as overlay for a touchscreen.. though this keypad is not exchangable. However, the idea isn't all that new.

There is only one "viewer" now, which swaps between showing the timeline or editing clips. In the left side panel, you can choose clips, and they appear in the single viewer. Then when you drag them into the timeline, the viewer switches to timeline playback.
I think that this makes a lot of sense, as you would not use the viewer and the timeline playback at the same time anyway, so why not let it switch automatically between then two, saving space.
I get that, but I need to compare frames side-by-side at times to ensure they're going to flow together. I love space-saving UI but I'm not sure that this one is going to pan out for me. I see a keystroke to quickly switch between the two in my future...

So like all new editing packages, we'll wait until Apple ships it to us. We'll install it on one system and evaluate it before we start having people switch over. With any new software there are usually tradeoffs and we will evaluate the final product in a work environment before we would commit to purchasing all the licenses we would need.
About the most sensible statement on this thread so far.

SERIOUSLY!
If this app does anything more than act as a pallative for increasingly frustrated iPhone users, I'd be very surprised.
I'm the CEO of Fibernet, a phone company who resold Pacific Bell wireless in the early days (remember the fantastic-sounding Motorola 8000x?). I'm also a shareholder in both Apple and AT&T. I'm still AMAZED that designers still create devices with built-in message such as "Call Failed" and "Operation cannot be completed at this time". Would you design a defibrillator with such messages? or a fighter jet?
Manhattan iPhone users apparently experience 30% dropped calls A DAY according to AT&T. This absurdly high statistic seems to have started several months ago after an Apple software upgrade (bad baseband code??). AT&T refuses to point the finger at Apple. Apple extends the same courtesy to AT&T. WE suffer.
I've already swapped SIM's and AT&T now suggests replacing my phone (which an AT&T company store last night said i HAD to do at the Apple store. What to the nice customers who live in towns without Apple stores do?)
Look, i'm a happy techie. Been around computers since the PDP-10 days. LOVE the iPhone as a computing and lifestyle device. But for crying out loud people, if we can get quality video transmissions from MARS, you'd think we'd be able to make a wireless device capable of a high-quality phone call in a MAJOR metropolitan city like New York or Beverly Hills.
Don't come up with brilliant devices, advertise your network as superior, and then whine that the DEMAND and high-usage CUSTOMERS are to blame for the failures.
