Super Beasto Accident

Now this is what I called bad fu**** luck! Friday 31, chilling at home around 12:30 pm, phone rings, its my neighbor. Uhm clearing his throat. uhh my son hit your wife’s bike. WTF!!! i just got it from the paint shop… Shut the phone down the stairs and there it was in a pool of fuel. Damage assessment was quick. He apologized and explained that his son just got his license. OK, so why park it in such a tight spot if he does not know how to drive? It’s OK I will cover the damages. Its not about the damages its about the down time, till I order and get the parts, take the tank off and paint, its a hassle. And I just finished painting it. How unlucky can we get this year, I will tell you in my next post.

El Superb Beasto Problems

leneb Today I decided to kill my boredom by fiddling with El Superbeasto. I started off by removing the dusty cover, its been sitting there since May, while my attention was focused on Blitzy. The cover revealed a dusty bike that has suffered multiple sand storm. My main concern was the battery, I inserted the key, pulled the choke and hit the starter button. The Beast cranked in rattling sound and died. Restarted the procedure, it coughed but died once I opened the throttle. Took the air filter off, used some Gum out spray carb cleaner, nothing, nada. Battery went flat! Took the carb off, checked the main jet and it was clogged with rust, this is brand new carb. Fast rewind, to find out what went wrong and it hit me Tony, this no good son of a gun, did not coat my tank, although I supplied him with the necessary material, I looked in to the tank, all rusted. I have grown to hate this guy, not only he ripped me off for a total KD 250, he delivered a half ass job and screwed up my tank. Moral of the story do not trust anyone when it comes to Shuwaikh, I feel naive putting my trust in this A..hole!

Bottom line El Superbeato started to it for a spin, definitely need a new paint job, thanks to the Tony Bubbly work and carelessness.

El Superbeasto vs Nightster (You be the judge)

Superbeasto hits the road!

Today was one of the first outings with Kuwait HOG, the weather was great at 8:00am, however by 11:30am I was cooking under the helmet. We decided to head home, but I did manage to take some shots & videos of wife on the Nightrain.

El Superbeasto Episode VII.I

Well things have not moved quiet well over the past 3 weeks, my painter is having a art crisis, does not seem to come up with a theme nor deliverables, last feedback I got he will commit to deliver in 2 weeks I hope for his sake. Today the engine is closed at last, after Aramex lost my four degree cam sprocket, exhaust is on yippee!! Misssing minor items here and there.

El Superbeasto Episode VII

Its official now, Fat-Train got a new nick"El Superbeasto", I like the name although I must give credit to Rob Zombie. The Fat-Train brute, raw, powerful "Harley wise" its beasty yet tamed with gold lining. "El Superbeasto" carries the heritage of it's past creations, Hellraiser & Acrimony.

El Superbeasto Episode VI.I

Now the version releases are getting incremental, given the fact some parts are still on backorder from the US and awaiting lower shocks and front wheel. Todays progess was around the engine, we mounted the pushrods bled the lifters. Rewired the ignition cables and the horn, the choke has been rerouted to the carb side awaiting some genius idea on how to fabricate a new mount. On the paint job side Tony has made some progress at last, the tank has been smoothed out, awaiting the progress to reach the remainder off all body part by end of next week.

El Superbeasto Episode V 1/2

Here is the deal, took off my swing arm grinded it to fit the meaty 200mm tire, wheel sent off to polishing, the guys at Dunlop in shuwaikh managed to scratch during the un-mounting process, what a waste of talent. After some arguments I got the un-mounting for free, although not satisfied at all with the scratched rim. Took the rim to polishing destination a little shop off Canada Dry Street. Excellent polishing job, followed by a clear coat at Tony's garage. Next up is putting together the rear end on thusday, finalisfing the custom mount for the Tailgunner exhaust and ship it off to powder coating.

On the Agenda a new camera, fed up with out of focus crappy pictures

El Superbeasto Episode V

The $350 engine rebuild challenge, OK I did say $250 previouly however I forgot labor for boring out the cylinder. The result is a gorgeous 1550 cc HD, Gold powder coated with Black. Total working hours not counting trips to Shuwaikh was 4 Hours, this included stripping down the rockers cover, heads, cylinder, removing the pistons, new pistons and the other way around. Next week I will be coating the swing arm, and some other parts, including changing the clutch plates to kevlar.

El Superbeasto Episode IV

Custom to the bone, for the last 4 weeks I have been cutting, grinding, fitting and machining. Fat-train transformation from Twisted Steel to Sex Appeal is getting one notch closer towards design completion. The outcome 6" stretched tank, 9" fender and a 200mm wide tire. Episode V will focus on rebuilding the engine, awaiting ordered part from eBAY to show up on my door step, the challenge is building a 90HP engine for a budget of 250$.

El Superbeasto (Episode III)

So whats new here, for starters my Tailgunner arrived, yippee, and boy that barrel spins. However fitting it is gonna be a challenge, some fabrication is needed. Oil Tank is off, major parts will be shipped for powder coating. Still waiting for some parts here and there to start assembly. Finding custom parts is a challenge more dineros and hours spend on eBay. The good part is that the vision of the final product is getting clearer.

El Superbeasto Fat-Train Episode II

As you well know I have started the transformation project on my wife's nightrain, what happened since then was a waiting exercise to recieve the part via Aramex - APO etc. I got the 17X6" rim together with a mean 200mm low profile tire, also recieved the struts Mashetti Style and a 9 inch fender. Since the transformation on a 17" was never attempted todate, I knew we would have some challenges in fitting the doughnut in the stock swing arm. We started at 8:30 and were done fitting the wheel at 18:00, including taking off the primary to change the original belt drive, a trip to the machine shop, extensive grinding and cutting in the frame. Next job in 10 days, installing the new exhaust and ordering more parts.

El Superbeasto Exhaust

Since my wife's Nightrain is getting a make over, I have decided to mount the meanest exhausts in the market the gatlin style Tailgunner exhaust will be black however it needs custom modifications to fit on my wife's HD.

Operation "El Superbeasto"

It's that time of the year again when people start dreaming of summer vacation, blue water, cool drinks, sandy beaches... So while the world goes into slumber Hellraiser is planning his next lift to one of his beasts, rising from utter darkness clad in mat black the 2000 Nightrain is gonna go under the knife or more or less under the grinder. Operation Fat Train consists of a 200 fat ass rear, 95" engine upgrades aiming to hit 110 ft/lb of raw torque at 3500 RPM, gold flakes over matt paint job, X-Pipes and the list goes on.

BTW the Fat Train is my wive's Harley I guess it would be the meanest female driven bike in town. Watch this space for updates on project Fat Train throughout this summer.
