Is These Beautiful Gowns In Your Imagination ?
The Fall 2011 bridal collections have been released, which is always exciting. Each season there are certain details which take center stage. A classic bridal adornment which will be very popular for 2011 is the bow. Big bows, small bows, single bows, and multitudes of bows were seen decorating the bridal gowns from many of the top designers. Learn more about this fun and flirty trend right here.
Oscar de la Renta always creates spectacular bridal gowns, and his Fall 2011 collection was no exception! Mr. de la Renta was definitely bow crazy this year. He designed a fabulous trumpet gown decorated with not one, but five, bows marching down the center of the gown in a column. The true standout in the new Oscar de la Renta collection was a soft pink strapless gown, with a dotted Swiss overlayer. The symmetrical gown features a strapless neckline and fabric which is neatly shirred and gathered all the way down the center of the dress. A white satin ribbon runs the length of the center front of the gown, and is accented by two big bows: one at the top, and another at the bottom of the center front, which is picked up in the middle by the bow. Absolutely gorgeous! Custom pink bridal jewelry would be amazing with this feminine style.
Brides with a taste for classic styles will adore the new bowed dresses at Amsale. She created a very simple and elegant silk mikado gown with a strapless silhouette which was adorned solely by a large bow at the waistline. This is one of those wedding gowns which will look just as good in pictures twenty years from now as it does today. The simplicity of the gown also allows for a lot of creativity in accessorizing with a fun headpiece, a beautiful veil, and custom bridal jewelry. Ladies who like the shorter bridal gowns will fall in love with Amsale's Fall 2011 short '50s inspired number with a satin bodice, a fluffy tulle skirt, and a big bow at the waist. It would be perfect for an informal wedding gown or as a reception dress.
Even the dramatic designers showed bows for Fall 2011. Glamor girl Pnina Tornai designed a characteristically outrageous trumpet style bridal gown with all of her signature elements, like lots of gathered fabric and a dramatic cascade of ruffles exploding from the bottom of the trumpet gown. The gown featured an asymmetrical one shoulder detail with a giant bow taking flight on the shoulder. Going in a different direction, Vera Wang showed a number of gowns with black sashes tied in very casual bows at the waistlines. Brides who favor opulence will find their perfect bow wedding gown at Platinum by Priscilla of Boston. They showed a spectacular ivory silk trumpet wedding gown with a bow at the empire waistline and another accentuating the top of the trumpet skirt. From romantic to dramatic to classic, there will definitely be a bridal gown with bows to suit any taste or style in the Fall 2011 wedding gown collections!
