Besides Nanofrog's really good advice there is also another option, namely going with the ZFS filesystem, which can make dynamic stripes on its own.
In this manner you can skip on the expensive RAID-card altogether and opt for more drives and the only filesystem that really offers data integrity.
You could grab this 12-bay Hot-swappable enclosure (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16816133044) for a meager $399.99 and have enough upgrade options down the road.

Are u using SSL mind you that will change the ports and thus not use smtp 25.

Basically what was asked in the title... The gelaskin skins are really cool, but I'm clutzy when putting that kind of stuff on, so if I want to take it off and reapply it or put a whole new one on I need to know that it won't leave marks.

hi i just need some help on the two systems, the mini and the normal mbox.
so at my university labs they have the (m-audio axiom) midi controller keyboard connected to the mbox which is connected to the computer...
but with the mbox mini , i read that u cant connect midi controllers to, so would you have to connect the midi keyboard via usb to computer then connect the mbox via usb to computer also?
whats the difference between connecting the midi keyboard to mbox to computer... and just connecting both direct to computer??? does this mean i have to use pro tools m-powered with the axiom midi keyboard?
im poor and i just want to be able to use the midi keyboard controller with pro tools and mix music and write songs... will the mbox mini do that?

I just hope they won't give up the space opera theme and go for some boring plot about saving Earth. Given that they said there would be tons of endings based on your decisions from 1 and 2, I'm not too worried. Still though, to have the trailer showing the Reapers hitting Earth...kind of :confused:
Speaking about new trailers, anyone watch the recent ones coming out these days? A lot of them seem to be made with real life actors, what's up with that? Not a big fan of the whole blu-ray look to them either. Maybe I'm just a traditionalist, but game trailers should show off a game engine or the studio's CGI ability, not the ability to hire actors to put on costumes and shoot them with a fancy camera.

I have a late 2007 24" Al iMac with BT and AirPort. I just ordered a Kindle Wi-Fi only from Amazon. I don't have (or want) a wireless modem.
Anyone know if I will be able to access the web by running the Kindle wefi to the iMac BT? I think both use the 802.11b/g/n standard.

You can use Internet sharing from something like ethernet to wifi.

As a fairly proficient Windows user, I had a little difficulty switching - 24 hours, to be exact. The problem was, I was trying to use my Mac like a Windoze machine. It's not.
All became clear when I told myself to treat the Mac as if I knew nothing about computers. If that was true, how would I accomplish this task?

Not trying to make light of the situation but, it reminds me of a Final Destination movie scene.
exactly what my brother said as well. what an a** the truck driver is to take off like that. i haven't read any of the articles so i don't know if they found out who it was but if they haven't found him i hope they do.

If you want to own a market, you have to open your platform to other players, just like Google and Microsoft license their software to whoever wants to make hardware and software for them. Divide et impera - divide and rule. Apple never understood this simple concept.
It is a simple concept but your logic is flawed. You are operating under a false assumption. Apple have never sought to "own a market". There always have been, and always will be, products that are cheaper or that do not reflect the correct "design aesthetic" that Apple do not even try to compete with.
