The Son Of Clockwork Orange

From designer Jimmy Thomason: "This is my take on RenĂ© Magritte’s The Son of Man, with a little Kubrick twist thrown in. I’ve always loved surrealist art and A Clockwork Orange is one of my wife’s favorite movies, so while we were talking about the movie recently, this design popped into my head."

Stanley Kubrick's Iron Man

"You must design a poster for a movie called IRON MAN directed by Stanley Kubrick. This is all you know."

That was all the instructions the members of Warren Ellis' Whitechapel forums received in their latest challenge.

Above: Paul Sizer's take on A Clockwork Orange. Below: Michael Furious' take on Full Metal Jacket. Me: In film mashup heaven. (Link via Geek-Art | io9)

A Clockwork Beagle

Snoopy gets his droog on as he gets ready for a little bit of Peanuts ultra-violence. What he did to Woodstock I just can't repeat. (Snoopy DeLarge by D4N13L)

Movie In Haiku

Fight Club Haiku
Soap begins it all.
Starts underground following.
Soap to end it all.

A Clockwork Orange Haiku
Violent, troubled.
Goes too far one night. Caught, changed?
I was cured all right.

Pulp Fiction Haiku
Quoting from scripture.
Calling on the wolf for help
It's royale with cheese.

Movies in Haiku is the brainchild of Toronto's Hugh Elliott. See more haiku typography at his Etsy shop and more movie haikus at his Twitter account. (Thanks to Amber Mac for the tip)

A Clockwork Smurf

Ready for a bit of the old ultra-smurfness? Maybe if the new movie was something like this I'd watch it. (A Clockwork Smurf by Captain RibMan, via Shirtoid)
