yep yep had the exact same thing. I managed to sort of fix it by downloading and installing Windows vista service pack 1, and then Windows vista service pack 2. Now in order for me to only use headphones i need to disable speakers in the sound prefs, otherwise some sounds go through headphones (when connected) and others through speakers. SO i have sound now its just annoying to have to disable speaker and enable all the time!
hope i could help, also once you have done the above two things, download and install the latest driver, the one u in the link u posted!

^^^^^ That's actually a Classical Guitar. The neck does tend to be wider than a regular acoustic guitar, and the strings are nylon instead of metal.
I learned how to play guitar on a classical. That's what was provided by the guitar school and my high school's guitar class.
It's a good guitar to learn on. The neck is so wide that when you switch over to a regular acoustic or an electric guitar, it'll be much easier to play.

I think the difference in screen size is really not very much. I confess I completely forgot about the FM radio and that is a nice feature. IMO as a music player, the 4th gen looks attractive to me because the absence of the video camera makes it less expensive. YMMV.
I own a 5G and GF owns the 4G, IMO I think the screen size on the 5G is a significant improvement over the 4th. I can't remember exactly how much I paid for my 5th, but I'm sure it wasn't that much over the 4th..maybe 10/$10 more??
Simply put, the 5th gen nano was/is awesome!
One of the few Apple products where value overweighed price. Apple realised this and created the 6G gen:D Joking (sort of)

This doesn't work for the Verizon iPhone, right?
The 4.3.3 untether works on all devices that actually support 4.3.3 except for the iPad2:

Click, and click everywhere! If it appears it can be clicked, click it. If it appears it can't, click anyway.
I learnt Mac OS X back in 2001 by myself just by experimenting and exploring. There is very little in Mac OS X that you can damage irreparably simply by fiddling unless you are a Unix freak.
MacOSXHints.com and friends were my best bet for hard to work out problems and never be afraid to ask a Mac user a question, they are generally quite friendly and willing to help you out.

This looks pretty amazing! And I agree they dropped the ball with the way it handles vocals. They could just as easily have put a little "Vocals on iPod Touch requires external microphone" disclaimer as other apps have with similar input. Other than that, it looks great and I look forward to seeing the price, and if not too high, I will definitely buy it. I think it could be like $9.99 because they might only give you a few songs and have in-app purchases of other songs probably. I could be wrong, but it makes sense. Get people on-board with a relatively low introductory price for a great game ported to these devices, and then make more money on $.99 songs for purchase.

SEE IT"S JUST LIKE IE! M$ ROOLES. WOOT/L337!
j/k :p
Waiting for that to happen, just like when Apple releases a new security update right after 4,000 new Windows viruses are discovered. Not the same thing people. That being said, I was unhappy with the last version on my PC. Here's hoping the new version is as good as people say it is, and Windows doesn't set IE back to the defaut again somehow.
Now back to using IE on my PC since some sites won't work with alternative browsers because of lousy coding. :sigh:

SMP2 will also bring a bonus to crunch units faster, same as bigadv scheme.
I wonder if they are getting something under the table from Nvidia/AMD to get people to spend money on new GPU's
And speaking of GPU's one of my GTX 275 is not working, I will have to get it registered and rma'd. And the one that is working is getting 8900 ppd which from what I have seen is better than what the gtx 295's are getting? Maybe I'm wrong... 2 more will be here tomorrow! with psu's!

You might consider an OWC enclosure. (macsales.com) I just got one of their 2-drive RAID enclosures and I really like it. The fan is pretty loud when it's running but I use it for media file backup so I only have it turned on when I'm actually using it so it doesn't bother me.

This made me LOL (in a cynical way). Hopefully the Freeverse guys made a ton on money out the deal ;)
Mgmoco are corporate slags so they'll just turn freeverse into another corporate clone; most people won't see the difference cos all they give a **** about is "shoot-like-**** 4" or "drive me mad 12", but their creativity will suffer. 6 months down the line a couple of the top creative people from freeverse will get bored and leave to form another company (if they haven't already) and if they've still got some skills they'll evolve into their own successful company which again will be sold to the corporate boys when they start making some serious money... It's been a familiar story in the games industry for a long time and is probably a good thing as it keeps things fluid. This is why you can't get hung up on company names etc.. just follow the creative people if you like their work...

It lets you run an external display at higher resolutions (easily making it up to a 17 inch monitor's 1280x1024 or whatever it is).
My 12" (32MB VRAM) has no difficulty spanning onto a 1600x1200/24 display, for reference.
And finally it voids your warrantee.
This isn't entirely accurate. Apple has stated that, if they find the hack in place during repairs, they reserve the right to refuse you warranty service.
However, like any firmware hack, it's easily undone. If you use the Applescript to install it, you can use the uninstall button; otherwise, it's a simple nvram-reset away.
In practice, several people here have successfully gotten warranty service despite the presence of the hack.
