Apple has really missed the boat with Sketch/Search feature. Would be infinitely useful inside Google Maps.
Guess we need an app for it.
I'm not sure what you mean here. Is it Apple or Google that's missed the boat? You're placing blame on the iPhone's manufacturer/OS for what an included 3rd party app is lacking, in your opinion?
Is this not another third party developer thats come to your rescue, on the same device/OS? What boat has Apple missed?

when 'Vista' was out, they were awesome, funny, and relevant.
vista went away (thank you (deity of choice)), and now they would not work. can's wait to see what they come up with next.

Sumone brought this macbook to me to get the password removed, but i cant boot from any install discs.
the system has ox x 10.6.7 on it.
booting from the sno leopard disc gives my a grey screan telling me i must reboot.
any help would b greately appreciated.

The first thing to do would be to read the stickies at the top of the forum. They will have book suggestions. If you are totally new to programming, you might actually want to learn programming before you delve into OOP and iOS programming. iOS development is not something you can just drag and drop a few objects around and have a best-selling app. You need to actually know about control structures, blocks, memory management, etc.. etc..
A good starting point would be to learn C. Objective-C is a superset to C that adds an object-oriented framework (classes with their variables/methods).
As for the hardware : either, it doesn't matter. Programming is not something that is especially hardware intensive and any Intel Mac can be used for iOS development, so your choice here should probably be based on your budget and other needs.

Also, I called Apple store and they told me that the student discount is anywhere from $50 to $200. To install Airview app linky above, your iOS device need to be jailbroken and have appsyn. As ipad2 isn't jailbreakable, keep the app and wait for jb.
Really good app, I enjoying it, I can youtube from iphone 4 to iphone 4, without problem.
Only thing isnt working for me, my dj doesnt seem to have the option for airplay :(

Not recently they haven't, June 09, April '10, and now February of this year. I will agree that this year has a higher probability of getting a fall update though but that would probably be a minor spec bump before Ivy Bridge in 2012.
This. Redesign plus Ivy Bridge in 2012. Besides all that, it appears that the iPhone won't get the standard June update so I wouldn't put it past Apple to change their standard release dates.

Meh. I read all the hype around these trailers, but just watched them now. The textures look pretty decent and the water is pretty nice, until it forms a wave, then it looks pretty terrible. The fire and explosions look awful as well. Same for the smoke; little white puffy balls? :rolleyes: The dragon itself has something wrong with it... the wings don't seem to reacting to the air right when they flap. Hard to explain what I mean, but it's just not real looking.
Gameplay looks really boring/repetitive, as mentioned. The long draw distance is impressive, though. All in all, completely unimpressed.

My girl used to use a Candyshell (the light blue and pink one). Now she has a pink and white Otterbox Defender and she couldn't be happier which actually shocked me.
Generally, the ladies don't seem care about the actual style of the case or even it's functionality. The seem to only care about the color. Granted that is a blanket statement and doesn't apply to the entire gender but the past couple of girlfriends I've had have had this same attitude towards their phones.
