This is one of the neater toys I've seen in a while. You run a little program that scours RSS feeds for audio links and pushes them into iTunes playlists. Sync up your iPod (or just use iTunes if you don't have one), and you have a sort of time-shifted personalized radio thing.

I'm using iPodderx (http://ipodderx.com/), but see the article for other possibilities.

Dude, don't get the MacMice. It's a crappy $10 mouse repackaged and sold for 5 times the cost. Avoid. Get a Microsoft, Kensington or Logitech mouse. They may not match perfectly, but trust me you'll be so much happier with them - they're actual QUALITY mice.

I heard about company before (they had PC emulator before, forgot the name) so I am interested how this compares with VirtualPC in terms of performance and compatibility?

Since you have SHSH saved, yes, you can. Easiest way is to get TinyUmbrella, and use its server function. You can download the ipsw file from here:
http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/

Start TinyUmbrella, start server, then go to iTunes, and shift-click (PC) or option-click (Mac) restore. I think update should work as well.

My early 2008 Macbook Pro just died after two and a half years. When I brought it into the Apple Store, they said my logic board had failed and wasn't my nVidia 8600GT. $1,100 to replace. I said no thanks.

I'll be needing a laptop this Sept for school and the new Macbook Pros look awesome. Is there anything about them I should be afraid of?? I don't want it to break down.

Anyone who thinks a desktop IM service (AIM, Google Talk, etc.) is comparable to a mobile IM service (bbm, whatsapp etc.) simply doesn't get it.

i can do anything with beejive that i can do when i've used whatsapp, but have the advantage that i can also talk to people that don't have smart phones.....

BBM is a gimmick that is dying, look at the fact that RIM are now working on making BBM work on android and iOS... desperation there....

I synced up my iCal with Google Calendar, but now my subscription calendar of a sports team is not showing up on my LockInfo.

Everything else is showing up but that one calendar.

What could be the problem?

I've been curious about F@H recently. I've got a Mac Pro idle for most of the day that I'd love to contribute... do I need to do anything aside from getting the program from the website and turning it on in system prefs... my viewer only shows a demo, is there something more I should be doing, this makes me think so.

I'm losing track of the Mac HW details, is yours the dual-core dual-CPU system? if so, you can download an SMP-version of the application that can use the dual processors. I forget where the link was, but you get to it from the Folding homepage.

I might add my iMac to my PowerBook and my work PC, and I think I have an old PC sitting under my desk at home.

There's no software unlock for the 03.10.01 yet. Depending on what carrier it's locked to, you can either get it remotely unlocked (won't work for AT&T locked phones) or use a turbo sim.


Yep, Its from US ( AT&T) and I'd like to use in Brazil. Brazilian mobile companies said they had the license to unlock them but then Apple has canceled that because there were tooo many people doing that.

What's the best turbo sim? Do I need to jailbreak it or only using the turbo SIM everything will work fine?

Hello there I am new to the MAC world. I just placed an order for an I Phone 4
I am a big music lover, tv and movie watcher can and would any one mind pointing me in the right direction for apps? Just dumped my droid 2... Hope the i phone is better.:D

which carrier did you get it for?

crackle is free and if you have netflix download their app, pandora radio is good

but again if your on at&t be careful of your usage you dont wanna go over the cap, but if you on verizon like me, then go crazy lol

Now that Apple has took off the 15 inch display off thier site, when can we expect upgrades to the display line? I don't think we will have to wait till Macworld, I think we can expect them very soon. My thinking is that with new displays, Apple could boost sales for Christmas, making the displays more attractive looking, and of course cutting prices and releasing a 19 inch. This is what I think:

17 inch - $699
19 inch - $1199
23 inch - $3199

I think those prices are fare. What do you guys think?

I was jailbroken on 4.1, and I upgraded to 4.3.2, and ran the Redsn0w jailbreak. The jailbreak was successful, but when I plug my iphone into itunes, I'm given the option to set up as a new phone or restore from backup. If I do either of these, won't I lose the jailbreak? I thought that I'd be able to just sync my phone after the jailbreak.

Hi

I've formatted my text using the css editor to helvetica and increased the font size

It appears ok in the golive editting window and safari but not when previewed or opened in Opera (i understand the preview is based on opera) it reverts to a smaller Times font

I'm using Golive CS2 in Tiger 10.4.2

Any ideas would be appreciated
