"freemium" is worse than a subscription model.
I really hate it.

Oh yea long line. I don't know how familiar you are with the Galleria but the non reservation line was almost out the door at the end of Forever 21.
Luckly I had a reserved phone, I was just about at the end of the window on the side (where the black part turns to tile). I got to the apple store at 6:20, out by 8ish

girls generally dont care for the size of the phone case because they usually carry the phone in their bags unlike guys who carry them in pockets...
I'm aware about the size as she carries her phone in her bag or her back pocket.
When I asked her about the "style" she didn't care either. Only the color. She hates the black Otterbox but obviously loves the Pink.

They allowed women to take part in the poll!?! Next thing you know they'll be getting the vote
This is a good point to bring up the fact that White Van Man came in at no. 10. :p

I figured 2 would be the highest vote. I have one. It is the incase snap. Probably the only case I'll use.

Thanks for the tips. If they could sort out a way to keep the battery life and add bluetooth I'm all for it. But, otherwise I don't think so. I've seen the adapter you're talking about and I'd hate to kill the sleek profile of the Nano with one. I suppose I'll just wait for the next generations of the Nano to come out and see what they offer. Or, maybe the headphones will die and I'll grab her one of those.
Or how about an iPod Touch? If you're worried about price then you could get a new/used 3rd or even 2nd generation.
Sure it's bigger, heavier, and has a more user intrusive interface, but you can do email, web, movies, Bluetooth, and above all else; apps and the App Store.
Just a thought.

Beep codes in Windows are dependent upon the exact hardware used. Based on what you posted, it sounds to me like a power management issue. Fortunately, it also appears that no harm has occurred.

OWC and Trans International both make excellent Mac memory. Trans Intl is typically the cheaper of the two (by maybe 10% or so), but both are good bets - lifetime warranties, excellent customer support.
One thing that is unique with OWC though is that they offer rebates when you send in your factory Apple RAM. It's not very much, but it's something.

Had chili and quinoa for dinner tonight in celebration. Vegetarian, of course. Unfortunately the quinoa was Peruvian but close enough.

You might be able to save on tax if buying from a reseller, depending on what state you live. And they might have lower ($50??) prices and usually have free shipping.

i used to be able to put in my mp3 over a video and i would put the music to about 10% volume and it would play nicely in the background. half my video is done like that and i am trying to add more mp3's to the rest but when i add em and try to edit the mp3's volume it gives me a little red line over the clip with a dot in the middle? what do i do?
i tried deleting com.apple.iMovie8.plist but i cant find it anywhere.

I know it isn't to much of a problem, but you could - if you use it as the main thing on your Mac, do an Archive and Install and when it comes to wireless setup on Leopard, make it as the main setup. It should work. :)

Is anyone else experiencing annoying crashes and lock-ups in XCode 4? While debugging my multi-threaded apps (pthread, not GCD), I can navigate around in the paused state for about 45 seconds, after which I almost ALWAYS get a beach ball, XCode goes to 100% CPU utilization, and I have to force quit it. Occasionally, I'll get a SEGFAULT which the crash reporter tells me is an xcode GarbageCollection thread, and occasionally this lock-up will occur while I'm in the middle of typing inside a code window.
I tried re-running the XCode 4 installer, changing the debugger from GDB to LLDB and none of it seems to help. I never had these problems with XCode 3, and being that this is the first version of XCode I've actually had to pay for, I'm quite disappointed.

Eeek that takes hours between formating and applying all the updates. Not to mention restoring your files and stuff like that.
I generally try to keep my format & reinstalls (the windows dance) down to every 6 months but I've done 4 over the past 2 weeks.
4 in 2 weeks is nothing! I've done 4 in 2 days...! I can't remember why now...
Anyway Kazza for Windows is crap. Dont even BOTHER thinking about the possibility of a chance of maybe downloading it. Get Limewire instead. :D

Hello everyone!
I am wondering if somebody could help me. For the last 3 months I have been working on creating an animated stopmotion film. I have created the real 3D sets, done the clay figures and shot the still images. As I am not very good with computers and all the settings that there are, I just imported every single image from iPhoto into Imovie and changed the time lapse for each image to 0,2 and thats how I created the animated film. It looks good, but since the film is now over 5 min long, the software (or can it be my computer?)gets really slow. Sometimes I cant even watch the video, and definitely not in the full size mode, just on a small video image in imovie.
I am getting really stressed about this now since I have put so much work into it and just want to finish the project (maybe add another 2 more min) and export it to a dvd with as good quality as possible.
I started to read about imovie and discovered it isnt supposed to be used for stopmotion. So.. I just got istopmotion and did a small test reimporting just onescene, then trying to export it, and importing it into imovie (i like using imovie because of all the possibilities of playing around with contrasts and colors)
But now the quality of the images looks really bad. It isnt at all as sharp as before. I have tried so many different settings while exporting from istopmotion, but it doesnt seem to make much difference. I am working in 4:3 ration, and the best option seems to be HD ( but in 16:9 only) so that doesnt seem to work.
Does anybody have any advice for me?
Should I use a completely different software for this and start from scratch?
Or is there maybe just some small trick that I am missing??
I would be very thankful for help!
Lia
What codec is istopmotion exporting the video at? It's probably compressing the video before you send it back into iMovie which is exactly what you don't want it to do.

However, I started on a Fender starter pack. It was decent but eventually sold it (now I regret it).
i just got this and had my first lesson a couple days ago so i'm fresh, but pretty excited. seemed like a great guitar for the price and all you get with it, though the tuner is pretty garbage and the dvd wouldn't even load.
i was going to start a thread but saw this one. anyone have any good online resources for learning guitar or can recommend any specific youtube video series or something?
