Homer No Beer Function Well Without

Graphic designer Jerod Gibson has created a series of typographical posters using quotes from classic movies and TV. Awesome stuff and it was hard to pick just one, but you can't ever go wrong with a good Homer Simpson quote. (Thanks, boyreporter)

Back To The Futurama

I would watch this movie, even though the movies they did were mostly meh. If it was anything like Roswell That Ends Well it would be amazing. (Unreality via Geek Mythology)

Buford "Mad Dog" Tannen: What's your name, dude?
Marty McFly: Uh, Mar- Eastwood. Clint Eastwood.
Buford "Mad Dog" Tannen: What kind of stupid name is that?

Dave Williams goes western with his poster for Back to the Future 3. Check out his takes on one and two.

Movie Parts: Back To The Forest Gump

In response to the trend of minimalist movie posters, Emma Butler decided to cram all the memorable props and details of her favourite films into her own posters. Above: Back To The Future; Below: Forrest Gump. (Via Reelizer)

Where No Pixel Has Gone Before

Can you name all 235 of these pixelated Star Trek characters? I know I can't, but if you are that steeped in Trek you can win a print of this from artist John Martz and Koyama Press. Head to his site for details. (Link via Comics Alliance)

Reservoir Bitches

The Tarantino classic reimagined as a western with an all female cast. I would watch the hell out of this movie. Also, Tarantino really should direct a western. (Jason Quinones for Art Jumble)

You Know, For A Second There... Yeah, I Kinda Did

Joshua Budich's contribution to Spoke Art’s upcoming Quentin v. Coens group art show. Judging from the previews so far and the artists involved, this is going to be amazing.

Tim Burton's Green Eggs And Ham

I think a dark version of Dr. Seuss is well overdue and perhaps it could come to pass as National Post illustrator Steve Murray imagines some updates of childhood classics that could follow in Red Riding Hood‘s footsteps.

Enlist In The Orkan Guard!

I didn't realize there was another whole page of cool prints from Galley 1988's Is This Thing On? Shazbut! If I had seen this Mork & Mindy propaganda poster back in 1978 I would have joined without question. Nanu-Nanu! (Mork poster by Tom Whalen)

The Ultimate Video Game Party

This reminds so much of my gaming days. No, not all the characters, but sitting and watching other people play. From Rachel Morris' cool series of video game posters for The NYU Game Center. (Link via Rampaged Reality)

Harry Potter And The Sin City Hallows

Graphic designer Olly Moss gives the penultimate Harry Potter film a darker, cooler look in his illustration for Empire Magazine. Check the extra Voldemort touch on the scar. I still can't believe they broke Deathly Hallows into two parts. Just get rid of all the sulking around in the forest and boom, a much tighter film.

The Style of Music: Iconic Male Musicians

My style is mostly non-existent - on the poster above I might be able to pull off a Ramones look, but nowhere near as cool. That said, I do appreciate the look and I'm a sucker for all-in-on collections.

L-R: Jim Morrison, Johnny Cash, Kurt Cobain, Kiss, Chet Baker, Michael Jackson, Run DMC, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Elvis Presley, Prince, Kanye West, Marvin Gaye, The Ramones, Andre3000, Pharell Williams, Brandon Flowers, Pete Doherty, The Beatles, Miles Davis.
